About this project
HRPF followed up sewage-scheme repairs, drainage maintenance and departmental responsibility in Mianwal Ranjha. Its public updates describe attention to manhole levels and local drainage, while correspondence records the request for repair and lawful handover of the sewage scheme. A separate update reports Pandowal drain-cleaning work after representations to the responsible department.
The challenge
Damaged sewerage pipes and the condition of roadside openings required attention to support public health and sanitation. The report identifies repair and cleaning of the existing scheme as the immediate work undertaken.
A request for greater drainage capacity was also submitted. The report does not provide technical measurements or confirm that the capacity expansion was completed.
Our approach
The reported intervention focused on cleaning the existing scheme, repairing broken pipes and raising the level of roadside openings. A separate institutional request addressed the capacity of the Fifth Drain.
The completed repairs and the pending capacity request are presented separately so visitors can understand the reported outcome accurately.
What we aim to achieve
- Support public health and sanitation in Mianwal Ranjha.
- Restore damaged parts of the existing sewerage scheme.
- Raise the drainage-capacity concern with the relevant department.
What we do
- Cleaning of the local sewerage scheme.
- Repair of broken pipes.
- Raising of roadside openings.
- Submission of a request to increase the Fifth Drain’s capacity.
- Raised concerns about repair and departmental handover of the sewage scheme.
- Followed up manhole levels and cleaning of the connected Pandowal drain.
Results and lasting change
- The report records completion of cleaning and repair work.
- Broken pipes were repaired.
- Roadside openings were raised.
- The drainage-capacity request was submitted; completion of an expansion is not established.
- HRPF’s public update reports a cleaning-budget approval and drain-cleaning work; it does not establish permanent resolution of every sewage or drainage problem.
