About this project

HRPF raised concerns about road levels and waterlogging in Mianwal Ranjha. Its letter of 8 April 2026 to the Punjab Communication and Works Department reported that adjoining streets were lower than a recently constructed road and requested attention to water accumulation, roadside drainage and departmental responsibility. The Foundation also pursued the matter through the Provincial Ombudsman.

The challenge

Waterlogging linked to road conditions created a public-service concern for local residents.

Our approach

HRPF submitted a departmental complaint and pursued the matter through the Provincial Ombudsman.

What we aim to achieve

  • Seek action on road drainage and waterlogging concerns.

What we do

  • Submitted a road-level and drainage representation to the Communication and Works Department.
  • Requested cleaning, repair and restoration of roadside drainage.
  • Pursued Ombudsman follow-up.

Results and lasting change

  • Formal complaints were recorded.
  • Repair completion and resolution of waterlogging are not confirmed.
